In the Office's Own Words

Dr. Johnathan Slate, DMD is a three-time Washingtonian Top Dentist (2021, 2023, 2025), and a Bethesda Magazine Top Dentist in 2024 and 2026. A member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he trained in veneer and reconstruction technique under Dr. Strupp and Dr. Brumm, both past AACD presidents, and has been recognized by the Academy of Osseointegration for outstanding implant dentistry. Slate Dental is his concierge, fee-for-service practice in Foxhall Square, Northwest Washington DC. The work is restorative and cosmetic: porcelain veneers, crowns and onlays, implant restorations, full mouth reconstruction. Many come for a second opinion on a plan from elsewhere. Examinations run 60 to 90 minutes. Fees are published.

Before You Call

Say what coverage you have, DC Medicaid or none, and ask two things. Do you take it for new patients, and what will the first visit cost me. Offices change which plans they take, so the answer on the phone beats anything written here.
