Insurance and Coverage
- Denti-Cal
- Not confirmed This office is listed as taking Denti-Cal but we could not find it in the current state listing. That is not the same as a no, so call and ask.
- Medi-Cal plan type
- Fee for service. Medi-Cal dental also runs through managed care plans in Sacramento and Los Angeles counties, and the state list we check does not cover those. If you are on a dental plan card rather than plain Medi-Cal, ask the office whether they take your plan.
- Other insurance
- Not known. This list is built around Medi-Cal dental, so it does not track private plans. Ask the office which ones they take.

Had my first visit at APLA Health in Long Beach and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The office is located on the St. Mary’s campus off Long Beach Blvd, with easy access and validated parking in the structure. The office is clean and welcoming, and the front desk staff were kind and helpful both over the phone and in person.
I was seen by Nurse Practitioner Emily, and she was amazing—thorough, patient, and never made me feel rushed. She took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and even ordered labs that weren’t completed elsewhere, which made me feel like she genuinely cared about my health. I left feeling heard and taken care of. Highly recommend APLA Health to anyone looking for compassionate, attentive care!

I normally had gone to the CDU location....but due to an urgent issue, I came to the Long Beach location and let me tell you....its like night and day. The whole team was so nice from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor. Dr. Mata, who i saw, was so attentive and caring....its been a long time since I have had a doctor who doesn't just come in the room for 5 minutes then leaves. I was absolutely shocked by how much she cared and listened. I will definitely start coming here.

This place is the best, I can't say enough good things about it. The doctors, nurses, and staff are all kind and helpful. it's easy to get in touch with them never taking more than a day to talk to a nurse and can usually get you in to see someone in less than a few days. I feel like I'm heard and they they genuinely care about my wellbeing.
