Insurance and Coverage
- Denti-Cal
- Not confirmed This office is listed as taking Denti-Cal but we could not find it in the current state listing. That is not the same as a no, so call and ask.
- Medi-Cal plan type
- Fee for service. Medi-Cal dental also runs through managed care plans in Sacramento and Los Angeles counties, and the state list we check does not cover those. If you are on a dental plan card rather than plain Medi-Cal, ask the office whether they take your plan.
- Other insurance
- Not known. This list is built around Medi-Cal dental, so it does not track private plans. Ask the office which ones they take.
What Patients Said
2.9 out of 5 from 38 reviews.
The nurses are kind, but the doctor is unfriendly. They refuse to take in new patients, especially special needs children, citing high demands and paperworks, and advise them to seek care elsewhere. It seems like a discrimination. They only accept appointments.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Lee as our daughter’s doctor since her birth at Good Samaritan Hospital. We’ve seen her 8years now. Her knowledge, warmth, and genuine concern for her patients are unmatched. She takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and makes us feel truly heard and understood. Our trust in her is absolute, and I cannot imagine a better doctor for our daughter.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Mi-Jeong since she was born. She’s now 2 years old and has had a consistent runny nose for over two months. At every visit during this time, I brought it up and was told to “wait it out” because she was “too young to have allergies.”
I asked for allergy testing—not because I thought it was common at her age, but to rule it out. I called around myself and found an allergy center that accepts her insurance. When I asked Dr. Mi-Jeong for a referral, she insisted they did not take my daughter’s insurance. I had already confirmed they did. I called again with my daughter’s member ID in hand, and the center confirmed again that they do in fact accept it.
Instead of helping us move forward, I had to argue with my child’s own doctor just to get the referral. Now, my daughter wakes up every morning with a heavily bloody nose, something that could have been addressed months ago if my concerns were taken seriously.
After years of trusting Dr. Mi-Jeong with my daughter’s care, I am incredibly disappointed by her dismissiveness and unwillingness to listen. If you want a pediatrician who advocates for your child, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
