- Confirmed Yes. Confirmed in the state's fee for service provider listing
- Medi-Cal plan type
- Fee for service. Medi-Cal dental also runs through managed care plans in Sacramento and Los Angeles counties, and the state list we check does not cover those. If you are on a dental plan card rather than plain Medi-Cal, ask the office whether they take your plan.
- Safety net clinic
- Yes. Clinics like this usually see patients with Medi-Cal, with other public coverage, and with no coverage at all on a sliding scale. Ask what they charge if you are uninsured.

Let it be known throughout the United States. San Mateo Medical Center is a noble house of healing, where every patient is welcomed with mercy, kindness, and respect. Its physicians, nurses, and staff serve with exceptional care and honor. Truly, this is an excellent hospital, worthy of the highest praise.

Don’t come here if you need any mental health support. Wife had a mental breakdown and I took her to the psychiatrist emergency. After explaining everything, the “doctor” showed up in shorts, cap, and very cocky, to tell us he would not give any medication because of risk of allergy. We said we would stay there. He wanted her to be admitted until next day at minimum to get any medication. Which is completely non sense. His behaviour was very unprofessional. I will be opening a formal complaint of this doctor.
